The company was established in 1965.
Consisting in the beginning of one factory, the development of its activity soon required expansion.

Considering the demands for quality of the different markets, the company nowadays has equipment where the extraction and the handling of the slate are processed with the most advanced techniques.

In the factory No. 1, where 3 mines are in activity, the slate blocks are extracted and then distributed according to their subsequent use.

Although we still have a significant quantity of slate in our present mines, we have started new researches three years ago in an area of approximately 50.000 m2, which shall allow us to open 10 more mines.

We have recently started to extract slate of very good quality from this new slate area and shall now intensify the extractions in order to be able to respond more regularly to the numerous orders we have received.
